What Cooler Can Prevent Throttling on Intel’s 13th and 14th Gen CPUs?

I'm looking for recommendations on coolers that can handle the heat produced by Intel's 13900KS or 14900KS CPUs to avoid throttling. I've heard that some budget coolers perform better than more expensive ones, so I'm interested in hearing from anyone with experience using these high-performance Intel chips. Also, is the issue of thermal degradation still a concern with these CPUs, or has that been addressed in the latest models?

Tower coolers are definitely an option, but airflow is crucial. If your build is in a cramped case, you might run into issues. A spacious full tower will help prevent throttling by allowing better airflow.

I've had my 14900K for a year now and it's been stable without any of the issues my degraded 14700K had (just a couple of BSODs). I'm using a Gigabyte Aorus Waterforce X II 360, which does a decent job. I even swapped the fans for some Lian Li fans that perform quite well!

Make sure to update your BIOS as soon as you can! Also, consider getting a case designed for airflow, plus a 360mm AIO cooler since these CPUs can run hot, competing with GPUs for power usage. Large air coolers can work too, but an AIO is usually easier to manage with these chips. And definitely avoid buying used 13th and 14th gen CPUs; stick to new ones for better reliability.

I use the Arctic Freezer III, and it's great! With all cores locked at 55° C, my temps peak around 87° C during Cinebench, so it keeps the CPU in check. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for solid performance without breaking the bank.

For better thermal management, I suggest using quality thermal paste. If you're hesitant about that, the Thermalright Aqua Elite (either the 2-fan or 3-fan version) can give you excellent cooling performance and is pretty reliable.

Thanks for the tips! I’ll definitely look into those options.
