What could be causing my monitor to keep flashing on and off?

I recently sold a Kogan 24" Curved Freesync Gaming Monitor (1920 x 1080, 75Hz) on Facebook Marketplace. The buyer reached out saying the monitor isn't working correctly after they bought a new power cable. Now, the monitor keeps flashing on and off. It was working perfectly just an hour before I sold it. Does anyone have ideas on what might be causing this issue? I've included some video links to show the problem.

It sounds like there might be a few reasons for the flashing. It could be a loose connection or a compatibility issue with the new power cable. Sometimes monitors can act up if the refresh rate settings aren’t right, or if there's a problem with the graphics card. Have the buyer tried connecting it to another device to see if the issue persists?

Make sure the monitor’s settings haven’t been accidentally changed. If it’s not a cable issue, there might be a firmware issue or even a hardware fault. I'd recommend having them try a different outlet or power source, just to rule out any weird power issues.
