I've been dealing with some frustrating freezes on my PC lately. My hardware isn't bad—I'm running an AMD Ryzen 5 5500 CPU, 16GB of RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 with Windows 11. I noticed that these freezes tend to happen right after some SSD activity, even when I'm not actually downloading anything or running any major applications. I ran a virus scan just to be safe, but everything came back clean. Can anyone help me figure out what might be causing these unexpected spikes in SSD activity?

It sounds like you might want to check out your Task Manager. Sort it by disk usage to identify which program is causing the SSD activity. Sometimes background processes or apps can spike disk usage without it being obvious.
Also consider any software that might run background tasks, like Windows updates or automatic backups. If those processes kick in unexpectedly, they could be spiking your SSD usage.

I did check that out already. The system processes and stuff like Discord or my browser were showing usage, but it wasn't enough to explain the spikes.
