What Could Cause a Large Blue Spot on My Redmi Phone Screen?

My phone, which I think is a Redmi S10, has developed a large blue spot in one corner of the display. I'm wondering whether this means the screen pixels are failing or if the battery might be swelling and pressing against the screen. What should I check, and is it safe to keep using the phone?
