What CPU and DDR5 motherboard should I get for heavily modded Minecraft under $450?

I'm running a large Minecraft mod pack with around 200 mods, but my Ryzen 5 5500 sometimes struggles. My budget for the CPU is under $450, and I'd also like a motherboard recommendation that supports DDR5. I'm currently using an RX 5700 and don't plan to upgrade the graphics card since it handles my shaders well.

If you want to avoid replacing your motherboard and RAM, a Ryzen 7 5700X3D or 5800X3D would be the simpler upgrade. They use AM4 and DDR4, though, so they don’t meet your DDR5 requirement. For a new DDR5 build, the 7800X3D and a B650 board make more sense.

For heavily modded Minecraft, an X3D processor is a strong choice because the extra cache can improve simulation and chunk-loading performance. A Ryzen 7 7800X3D would be a good DDR5-based upgrade, while a 9800X3D is even faster if you find one within budget. Pair it with a solid B650 motherboard and DDR5 memory.
