I'm moving from console gaming to PC and want to build a system without spending too much, likely using mostly used parts. I'd like it to handle 1080p gaming at around 240Hz while also delivering solid frame rates at 1440p. I'm considering a compact micro-ATX case such as the Lian Li A3, so I'd appreciate suggestions for a suitable CPU and GPU that will fit well in that kind of build.

For a new build, a Ryzen 5 7500F or 9600X paired with a Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB, RX 7600 XT 16GB, or Intel Arc B580 12GB could work well. Use a 750W power supply, a 1TB SSD, and an inexpensive Thermalright air cooler. I’d recommend starting with a proper matched 32GB DDR5 kit rather than a single 16GB stick, since dual-channel memory helps gaming performance while still leaving room for future upgrades.

If you’re buying used, also consider an RTX 3070 Ti or RTX 3080 Ti. They can provide strong performance for the money, though check their power requirements, temperatures, and remaining warranty before buying.
