I'm looking for recommendations on CPU coolers that work well with the Ryzen 7 9850X3D. Currently, I'm using an MSI X870 Tomahawk motherboard, so if that affects compatibility, let me know!

I'm using a Dark Rock Pro 5 for my Ryzen 9, which has a similar power draw. It keeps my CPU under 75°C even at max load, so you might consider that as an option.

Honestly, stock coolers are usually enough for most CPUs, but remember that the X3D models typically don't come with them.

I run a 360mm AIO cooler with my 9800X3D, and it usually stays in the mid to high 60s under load, peaking occasionally at 72-73°C. If you push your CPU hard, that kind of cooler might work well for your setup.

I have a Ryzen 9 800X3D, and I'm using a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 140. It keeps the temps in check, even under heavy load. The cooling should be similar since the 9850X3D might not run much hotter than the 9800X3D, so I think that cooler should work great for you!

Do you happen to monitor your CPU temps during stress tests?

For what it's worth, the 9850X3D runs about 12% warmer than the 9800X3D, but I believe the Peerless Assassin can handle it just fine.
