What CPU Should I Upgrade to Avoid Bottlenecking My 3070 Ti?

Hey everyone! I just upgraded to a 3070 Ti GPU, but I'm noticing that my Ryzen 5 2600 CPU is bottlenecking the performance, especially when gaming at 1080p in titles like ARC Raiders where the GPU is only running at about 25%. This issue isn't as severe in other games, but it's really frustrating when it happens. I'm considering upgrading to a CPU that won't bottleneck my GPU. I found a Ryzen 7 5800X for around $150 in my area (EU). Any thoughts on whether this is a good choice, or what other options might work better? Oh, and just to clarify, I'm not looking to switch to 1440p gaming.

Definitely aim for the 5700X3D or 5800X3D if you can find them! If not, at least go for the Ryzen 5600. The 5800X is a significant step up from the 2600, so that would be a smart move too.

Just a heads up, x3D CPUs are hard to come by and super expensive right now.

Yeah, finding x3D models is nearly impossible where I am too. Otherwise, I'd totally jump on that!

The Ryzen 5600 should handle gaming well for you, but if the prices are close between that and the 5700X or 5800X, I'd say go for the higher-end chips. Just a heads up, the x3D AM4 CPUs are discontinued, so if you're eyeing the 5800X or higher, make sure your motherboard is compatible and has the latest BIOS updated.

I have an ASUS B450 with the new BIOS, so I think I'm good there!
