What CPU should I upgrade to for better gaming performance?

I'm looking to upgrade my PC, specifically the CPU. Right now, I'm using a Ryzen 5 5600X, and I often notice it struggles with demanding games like Rust, where my CPU usage spikes while my GPU sits at around 30-40%. I currently have a 5070 Ti. I want to stick with the AM4 socket because of the current RAM prices. I've been searching for a 5800X3D or a 5700X3D but haven't had any luck finding one. What CPU would you recommend for my setup? Is there a chance more AM4 CPUs will be released soon?

Where are you located? I’ve seen quite a few used 5800X3D and 5700X3D listings on eBay UK, though they’re priced close to what they originally sold for. Just be cautious of ones shipped from China without documentation.

If you're set on keeping your motherboard and RAM, you're right that the 5800X3D and 5700X3D are your best bets, but they've been discontinued for a while. If you're struggling to find them at a reasonable price, it might be hard to find an upgrade worth investing in.

If you can snag a 5700X3D or 5800X3D for a reasonable price, go for it. Otherwise, you might consider upgrading to an AM5 or LGA1700 setup. With LGA1700, you could keep your RAM.

I had a similar setup and ended up getting the Micro Center bundle with the 7800X3D. It's performing really well for me. Just keep an eye out since the 5700X3D prices can be crazy!

AMD does still manufacture AM4 CPUs, but not the specific 5800X3D or 5700X3D models since they've reached the end of their lifecycle.
