I'm currently using an i5-9400F CPU and I've been told that it might bottleneck my 6700 XT graphics card. I'm looking for recommendations on which CPU would work best to get maximum performance from my GPU, aiming for stable 60 fps. My motherboard is a prime h310m-k r2.0, and I'm fine with older options as long as they fit my budget, which is somewhat flexible.

If you're on a budget and want to reuse your existing memory and possibly your heatsink, upgrading to a 12th gen Intel CPU could be a good option. However, if you can afford to replace everything, going with an AM5 setup is definitely the way to go for future upgrades.
You might want to check out the Ryzen 5 7500F, 7600, or 7600X, or even the Intel i5-9600X. They offer good performance and should work well with your GPU. Just double-check compatibility with your motherboard before making a purchase!
Remember, your CPU's ability to hit 60 fps depends on the games you play. The graphics card will primarily determine your resolution and settings for reaching that 60 fps, so make sure to consider that too when upgrading.

Are those CPUs compatible with my current motherboard though? I heard they might not fit.
