I'm considering building a desktop PC for gaming but I'm not very knowledgeable about the hardware requirements. Can someone guide me on what I need for smooth gameplay with demanding titles like Red Dead Redemption 2, God of War, and Grand Theft Auto? Any recommendations on components that would fit a budget of around $1,000 would be greatly appreciated!

Honestly, those games aren't particularly demanding by today's standards. I used to play RDR2 at 1440p on a 9400F with a GTX 1070, and it ran pretty well. If you're aiming for something lightweight but effective, older components might still do the trick.

It really boils down to your target resolution and frame rates. If you're aiming for around 60-120 FPS at 1440p, then you’ll need a setup with a decent balance of power, like a good CPU-GPU combo, alongside at least 16GB of RAM.

For a solid setup, I'd suggest looking into an AM5 build featuring a Ryzen 7500F, a Radeon 9060XT, 32GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. This configuration should allow you to run most games smoothly at 1440p, though it may stretch your budget a bit since prices can be high right now.

Make sure to clarify what 'running well' means for you. Are you focused more on resolution, or is frame rate your main priority? Knowing this can help narrow down your options.
