Recently, my girlfriend's Tecno Spark 10 Pro started charging in what's labeled as 'safe mode'. The charging is incredibly slow, and this change happened abruptly. When we connect the charger, it explicitly says 'charging in safe mode'. I've checked all settings and even watched several tutorials, but I can't find much useful information online about this charging mode or any possible solutions. Has anyone experienced this before, and if so, how did you resolve it?

I haven't dealt with that specific phone, but I've seen similar issues on Androids and iPhones. Check the battery settings; there might be an option related to 'safe charging' or just standard charging. You could also try restarting the phone to see if that helps. Good luck! 🤞
It could be that your phone is indicating it can't handle fast charging at the moment. Try using a different charger if you have one available, just to rule that out.
The Tecno supports 18W fast charging, but I haven’t been able to charge at that rate either. I’ve tested various chargers, but it just keeps saying 'charging in safe mode'.
It sounds like Tecno's version of low-speed charging. If it detects any issues with the charger, cable, or phone, it automatically switches to this 'safe mode'. It's common to have those requirements not met for fast charging to kick in. Maybe they thought 'safe mode charging' sounded more appealing than plain slow charging!
Is there any way to fix it, though?

I looked it up and found some tips by searching for 'tecno spark 10 charging in safe mode.' It's worth a try!
