I'm looking for recommendations for a gaming desktop costing roughly €1,200–€1,400 in Croatia. I mainly play World of Warcraft, Hell Let Loose, and newer games such as The Witcher, ideally at high or ultra settings. I also browse the web and watch YouTube, but gaming is the priority. Keeping the PC as quiet as possible is especially important because I have a baby next door, and my current ASUS TUF Gaming F15 laptop gets extremely loud when its fans ramp up. I already own an AOC 24G2U 1080p IPS monitor, a Logitech mouse, and a HyperX keyboard.

For a quiet build, consider a sound-dampened case such as a Fractal Define or be quiet! Pure Base, several large 140 mm fans running at low speeds, and a good tower air cooler. An air cooler is preferable here because an AIO adds pump noise that can be difficult to eliminate. The standard Ryzen 5 7600 is also worth considering: it runs cooler, costs less, and performs very similarly in games. Compared with your gaming laptop, a properly tuned desktop should be dramatically quieter. Check several European retailers because component prices can vary significantly between stores.
A Ryzen 5 7600X paired with a Radeon RX 9060 XT would be a sensible match for your 1080p monitor. It should handle modern games well without wasting money on far more GPU power than you can use at that resolution. If you want to spend closer to the top of your budget, put the extra money toward quieter components rather than simply buying a much faster graphics card.
Would that combination handle modern games at 1080p without looking poor? I’m also debating whether to spend around €2,500 on a high-end PC instead.
