What GPU should I get to upgrade from a Ryzen 5600G?

I'm looking for GPU suggestions to upgrade from the Ryzen 5600G, which has an integrated GPU for my kid who plays a lot of FPS games. My budget is between $500 and $600. I've done some research, but every time I think I've found a good option, I end up seeing people recommend against it. So, I thought it would be best to ask you all directly for your recommendations!
