I've been running an Intel i7-12700K with a ROG Strix RTX 3080 V2 (10GB VRAM) and I'm looking to upgrade my setup with a budget of around $3K. I'm considering an AMD 9950X3D and an X870E motherboard, but I've hit a snag trying to find a reasonably priced RTX 4090 or even a 5090. I know they're out of stock, but how often do they typically restock? Is the market for top-tier GPUs just rife with price gouging right now, and is it really not the best time to buy?

Basically, Nvidia stopped producing the 4090s to push consumers towards the 50 series cards. If you're looking for a new GPU, you might want to skip the 4090 altogether.
Both the RTX 4090 and the 5090 have been discontinued for months. You won't find them restocked because Nvidia isn't making them anymore. The whole stock situation is pretty much dried up at this point.

Yeah, it's crazy! I haven't even seen one in person. It's like they never really existed!
