What is CircuitryAg.exe, and why is it asking for sqlite3.dll?

A pop-up keeps appearing with the message: "CircuitryAg.exe - System Error. The code execution cannot proceed because sqlite3.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." I'm not sure what sqlite3.dll is, and I don't recognize CircuitryAg.exe or know why it's running on my computer. What should I do?

That filename is suspicious, especially if you donโ€™t recognize the program. Open Task Manager and check the Startup apps tab, then search your drive for โ€œCircuitryAgโ€ or โ€œCircuitryAg.exeโ€ to see where it lives. Run a full scan with Windows Security, and optionally a second scan with a reputable malware scanner. Donโ€™t download sqlite3.dll from a DLL-download site, because that could install something malicious. Also review installed programs and browser extensions for anything unfamiliar.

MellowPine47: I disabled it in Task Manager, but I couldnโ€™t find CircuitryAg anywhere on the C: drive.

MellowPine47: I think I managed to delete it. Thanks for the warning.

sqlite3.dll is a small library that applications use to work with SQLite databases. It isnโ€™t usually something you open directly; a program normally installs and uses it in the background. The error means CircuitryAg.exe is trying to start but canโ€™t find that file. Since CircuitryAg.exe isnโ€™t a familiar Windows component, be cautious about it rather than downloading a replacement DLL from a random website.
