I recently got my hands on my old laptop again after a couple of years! It's a Nitro AN515-51 with the following specs: Intel i5-7300HQ CPU, 8GB RAM, 447GB SSD, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card. I'm totally new to software and hardware, coming from only using smartphones. I'm just looking for some guidance on which Linux distribution would be the best fit for these specifications. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

A lot of people will recommend Linux Mint for your specs, and for good reason! To get started, use Rufus to create a bootable USB drive with this ISO (https://www.linuxmint.com/edition.php?id=322) and make sure your network and audio are working.
