I'm using a really old Nvidia laptop that relies on the 340 drivers, and I'm on the lookout for a Linux distribution that will support them. Ideally, I want something that's beginner-friendly since I'm not super experienced with Linux yet.

You'll find that the AUR has a package for the 340 drivers, but honestly, with a laptop that old, you might want to think about using it as a server or just switching to the nouveau drivers. The performance won't be great with a 17-year-old GPU, and the older proprietary drivers can be a bit of a nightmare to work with.

I hear you, but I set up Windows on it already, and I'm not going back until I have a better machine.
