What monitoring software is best for tracking FPS and performance on my rig?

I've recently set up my new computer build and have been monitoring the temperatures using HWINFO64. However, I've encountered some limitations: I want to include metrics like FPS and dropped frames in my sensor logging graphs to ensure I'm getting optimal performance, but it seems that this information is missing from HWINFO64. While I could use an overlay to display this data, I prefer to integrate it into the logging features that HWINFO64 offers. What monitoring software do you recommend for a more comprehensive performance overview?

I spent way too long creating a custom sensor panel using Rainmeter and HWINFO64. Honestly, it might be easier to set up a Prometheus exporter and build a Grafana dashboard since a lot of the standard options can feel a bit clunky.

RTSS works great when paired with HWINFO. It's a solid combo for tracking both FPS and system stats together.

Honestly, I don't use any specific software. If my performance drops, I notice it right away. If I don't perceive any issues, I don’t see the point.

You should try using RTSS on its own. It has built-in features for monitoring FPS, frametime graphs, and 1% lows. Plus, it allows for customizable logging and can pull data from HWINFO, which makes for some awesome overlays!

Check out MangoHUD! It's pretty handy, but I'm not sure how much Valve borrowed from it for their Steam overlay.
