I'm upgrading my setup and need two separate devices: a mouse and a presenter remote for advancing slides. I'll be using them in a standard classroom, so long range isn't important. My main issue with previous presenters is that their USB-A receivers stick out and get damaged in my bag when I move between classrooms. I'd prefer Bluetooth or a receiver that sits nearly flush with the USB port, along with rechargeable power or excellent battery life. Ideally, I'd like to spend less than $100 on each device. What models have worked well for you?

The Logitech MX Master 3S is a great all-round mouse if you’re comfortable spending around $80–$100. It has excellent battery life and can connect over Bluetooth, so you can avoid carrying a dongle. If you want something smaller and more portable, the Logitech MX Anywhere 3S is also a strong choice.
The Logitech Spotlight is worth considering if you want more than a basic laser pointer. Its on-screen spotlight and highlighting tools make it much easier to draw attention to specific parts of a slide. For a cheaper alternative, there are Bluetooth presenters with small recessed USB receivers that sit almost flush with the computer and tend to have very long battery life.
For the presenter, the Logitech R500s is a straightforward Bluetooth option that’s reasonably priced and easy to use. It has the essential slide controls without much extra fuss, and the battery should last a long time for normal classroom use.
