I've been dealing with carpal tunnel and some nerve damage in my fingers and wrist. Using my laptop's trackpad is really painful, so I'm considering a mouse for scrolling instead. What are some good mouse recommendations that might help make using my computer easier? Just as a heads up, I have a Dell Inspiron with an i7 processor, 64GB of RAM, and a 2TB SSD.

A vertical mouse could be worth looking into too! They help keep your wrist in a more natural position and might alleviate some discomfort.
Everyone's experience with carpal tunnel can vary a lot. What works well for one person might not work for another. I'd recommend heading to a store and testing out a few options in person. A couple of people mentioned the MX Master series, and while it worked wonders for my old manager, it caused discomfort for someone else. Don’t hesitate to return anything that doesn't work for you.
Check out the Logitech MX Master series, especially the MX Master 3S, which is currently pretty affordable since the new MX Master 4 just came out. Its design is really comfortable with a thumb scroller that you can customize!
I absolutely love the Logitech MX Ergo trackball mouse! It took a little bit of getting used to, but now I can use it for everything from work to gaming without any issues.
Have you considered trying a trackball? They provide a different kind of motion and can really help reduce strain on your wrist. Many users find them to be a life-saver for carpal tunnel issues!
Vertical mice can also be good options, but a trackball might better suit severe cases of carpal tunnel.

Even if you don't have carpal tunnel, the MX Masters have reduced a lot of stress in my hands. Definitely worth checking out!
