I have an Intel Core i7-3770 CPU and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 1080 graphics card. Since I can't run Windows 11, I'm looking for recommendations on what OS would work well with my setup.

You could stick with Windows 10; it runs fine on systems like yours. Also, you might want to consider Linux as an alternative. Some say Windows 11 can actually run on your hardware with a few BIOS tweaks like enabling secure boot and TPM 2.0.

If you want to stick with Windows, go for Windows 10. Otherwise, there are plenty of Linux distributions out there. Just a heads-up: if you're new to Linux, it might take a little while to get used to.

Honestly, Windows 7 would work great too if you don’t mind using an older OS. It's pretty snappy.

Linux Mint is a solid option and has a similar feel to Windows. It's easy to install, and I’ve found it runs smoothly even on lower-end systems.

I love using Kubuntu! It looks a lot like Windows without the usual issues. Plus, it's pretty user-friendly. You might need a USB drive for the installation, though.
