I'm new to PC gaming and want to build a gaming computer in Canada that can target a stable 240 FPS on high settings. I mainly play Dota 2, Marvel Rivals, PEAK, Palworld, and Monster Hunter: World. I'm flexible on budget, but I'd rather avoid expensive parts that provide no meaningful benefit for these games. A parts list suitable for checking on PCPartPicker would be especially helpful. Either 1080p or 1440p is acceptable, as long as the system is balanced and efficient for the target frame rate.

The exact target depends heavily on resolution and each game’s optimization. At 1080p, the 7800X3D—or a similar modern gaming CPU—could be the main priority, with a strong upper-midrange GPU. At 1440p, the graphics card matters much more, and an RX 9070 XT is a reasonable value choice. An RTX 5080 could provide more performance, but it may be unnecessary for your games and resolution. No build can guarantee 240 FPS at high settings in all five games, so consider using a mix of high and medium settings or upscaling where needed.
Assuming 1440p, a Ryzen 7 7800X3D paired with a Radeon RX 9070 XT, 32GB of RAM, and a quality power supply would be a sensible starting point. The processor is excellent for high-refresh gaming, while the 9070 XT should handle most of these titles well. However, a locked 240 FPS on high settings is unlikely in every game—Palworld, Marvel Rivals, and Monster Hunter: World can be much more demanding than esports titles. You may see closer to 200 FPS or lower depending on the game and scene.
