What PC Should I Build or Buy for Around $2,000?

I'm looking to spend about $2,000 USD on a PC for gaming and content creation. I don't need a system aimed at the most demanding games, and features like AI upscaling or gaming-focused extras aren't important to me. Would building a PC or buying a prebuilt make more sense, and what parts or systems would you recommend?

Are you located in the United States, and is there a Micro Center within driving distance? Their bundle deals can make a DIY build significantly cheaper, especially if you’re comfortable assembling the system. Even a one- to two-hour trip may be worthwhile depending on the parts and availability.

A well-balanced gaming and streaming build in this price range should handle your needs easily. You could start with a current AMD-focused parts list and check Micro Center for a discounted Ryzen 5 7600X3D bundle. That kind of deal can leave more of the budget for a capable graphics card, fast storage, plenty of memory, and a quality power supply. A prebuilt is more convenient, but building it yourself usually gives you better parts for the money.
CopperMeadow5: There’s also a Micro Center about an hour away from me. I’m new to the US and wondering whether one of their prebuilts would be a good option for someone who doesn’t have much building experience.
