You can spend much less than $250–$300 and still get a dependable unit. Models such as the be quiet! Pure Power 12 or 12M, MSI MAG A850GLS, Thermaltake Toughpower, Cooler Master Gold units, and ASRock Steel Legend Gold are worth considering. An 850 W model is probably the best balance here, while 1000 W is mostly useful if you want substantial upgrade headroom.
A good 750 W or higher 80 Plus Bronze unit should technically be enough, and many decent options cost around $120–$150. That said, I’d lean toward 850 W for a newer high-end graphics card, especially if the price is close to a 750 W model. Focus on the specific model’s quality and warranty rather than just the wattage rating.
Your system is estimated to draw roughly 540 W with a suitable motherboard, so an 850 W supply would leave about 300 W of headroom. A 1000 W unit would leave even more, but it’s unnecessary unless you want maximum flexibility for future upgrades. Check a reputable PSU quality ranking and prioritize an ATX 3.x model with the appropriate native graphics-card power connector.
