This is currently a fairly expensive time to build, so don’t feel pressured to buy everything immediately. Compare prices and consider waiting if a major component seems unusually expensive. A parts list based on your budget and intended games or applications will make it much easier to decide when to purchase.
For general explanations, look for beginner-focused PC-building videos from established hardware educators. Prioritize videos that explain why each part is chosen instead of just showing someone assembling a machine. Try to find content that is reasonably recent, since component prices and recommendations change quickly.
The hardest part usually isn’t physically assembling the computer—it’s choosing parts that are compatible and balanced. Put together a draft list first and have someone check that the processor, motherboard, memory, graphics card, power supply, and case all work well together. For assembly, most recent beginner build videos are fairly similar, so keep the motherboard manual beside you and follow the steps carefully.
