I've finished the fundamentals of frontend web development and Python, but I'm unsure what direction to take next. I'm considering learning Godot for game development or picking up a Python library. I'm interested in game development, data science, and natural language processing, and I'm still exploring which area suits me best. Should I focus on a particular technology, or start with a project that helps me figure out what I enjoy?

Pick a manageable project and use it to discover what you still need to learn. You’ll quickly find gaps in your knowledge and get practice applying concepts instead of just recognizing them from tutorials. Since you already know frontend basics and Python, building a small backend web app with Flask could be a good next step.
You could combine several of your interests in one project instead of choosing a permanent direction immediately. For example, build a Flask-based sentiment-analysis dashboard where users paste in a review, article, or script and receive an emotional-tone summary, important terms, and word-frequency charts. A library such as NLTK, with VADER for sentiment analysis, would give you a practical way to explore Python, backend development, NLP, and frontend presentation together.
Stop collecting tutorials and start building. Make something, break it, debug it, and experiment with the skills you already have. Programming really sticks when you apply it to a project; endlessly watching lessons can lead to forgetting the material or getting stuck in tutorial mode.

I’ve made a few static websites so far, but I haven’t learned Flask, Django, or Node yet. I tried building an ebook site once, although it didn’t come together very well. I know I’ll eventually need to learn backend development.
