I just finished building my new computer, but unfortunately, one of my RAM sticks turned out to be defective. I bought two CL30 6000 sticks, and while they worked for a little while, one of them completely broke down. Since I got them from Newegg and the specific RAM is now sold out, I'm not sure how to proceed. My new setup with a 9800x3d and 9070xt is only running with 16GB of RAM right now, which feels a bit low. Any suggestions on what my next move should be?

If you're really sure the RAM stick is faulty, consider returning it as defective. Even if it was your fault, check if the warranty covers it. While you're waiting for a replacement or refund, you can get by with the 16GB for the time being. It's not ideal, but it should suffice until you sort this out. Good luck!

But RAM prices are pretty high right now! Do you think it's worth the risk of returning it for a replacement?
