I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed trying to choose a 2-in-1 laptop/tablet. I've seen so many options, and every time I think I've found the right one, I get more confused. Consumer Reports claims that the LG Gram Pro is the top pick overall, but other sources recommend the Lenovo Yoga and others. I currently have a Samsung S25 Ultra, so I'm looking for something that runs Windows for syncing my contacts, messages, and calendar. Also, I want to dive back into photography, so having a good display and editing capacity is essential. Has anyone been through this and have suggestions?

Had a Yoga but didn’t like using it as a tablet since it's too heavy. I’d suggest going for the Surface. My dad had one, and I found it much easier to use in tablet mode.
I’ve got a Lenovo Yoga, and it’s been great! I don’t use it as a tablet much, but it's perfect for watching videos. It's also really convenient for travel.
I agree! The Yoga is easy to balance on your lap, which is way better than the Surface Pro.
I've been using Surface Pros since 2013, currently have the Surface Pro 7. It's super lightweight and great for everything from emails to heavy-duty tasks. Just a heads up, though—the cooling isn’t great, and it might overheat if you’re using it with HDMI, especially during Zoom calls. Make sure to get a proper Microsoft power adapter; they last longer!
I use an ASUS Vivobook 14 Flip and a Surface Pro at work. The Surface is cool when you want to detach the keyboard for tablet mode, which I don’t use often. I mostly connect it to external monitors. The Vivobook has an amazing screen, and I got it on sale at Costco! The two hinges feel really solid, but I haven’t given it a serious workout yet. Not sure about the whole 'AI chip' thing manufacturers are promoting—it feels gimmicky to me.
In terms of display quality, you should think about using an external monitor most of the time anyway, which could change your needs for the laptop's screen.
Honestly, it might be best if you visit a store to try them out yourself. Narrow it down to 2-4 choices and get a feel for each before making a decision.

I have both and prefer the Yoga. It’s much easier to balance on my lap when I'm relaxing or on a plane.
