I recently received an old PC from my cousin, and I'm looking to upgrade it for gaming. Here are the specs:
- Motherboard: B450M Mortar Max MSI
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 3200G with stock cooler
- RAM: 8GB T-Force Dark Z 2400 MHz
- PSU: DE500v2
- SSD: AITC ST100 256 GB
I mostly play League of Legends, Valorant, Roblox, and Minecraft. Currently, I get around 50-60 FPS on League at low settings, but I experience a lot of FPS drops. I'm considering an upgrade since I want to enhance my gaming experience. Would it be better to upgrade my CPU first, perhaps to a Ryzen 5 3400G, or go for a Ryzen 5 5600 and wait to get a dedicated graphics card?

It really depends on how much performance you're aiming for and your budget. If you want to hit 100-150 FPS on mid to high settings, you'll need to invest a bit more. Starting with the CPU upgrade is a solid choice, but don't shy away from getting a dedicated GPU if you can! It would significantly boost your gaming experience.

If you're on a tight budget right now, I'd suggest going with the Ryzen 5 3400G for now since it has decent integrated graphics. You can always save up for a better GPU later to pair with the Ryzen 5 5600.
