What Should I Upgrade for Better 4K Gaming Performance?

I recently purchased a Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 240Hz monitor, and I'm struggling to get smooth performance while gaming. My current setup causes the frame rates to drop below 40, sometimes even into the 30s, especially when playing games on ultra settings. I'm looking for some advice on what components I should prioritize upgrading to ensure I can enjoy my games at 4K ultra settings. My budget for upgrades is between $2,000 and $3,000. Here's my current build for reference:

- **CPU**: Intel Core i5-13600K
- **CPU Cooler**: Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE CAPELLIX
- **Motherboard**: Asus PRIME B760M-K D4 Micro ATX
- **Memory**: G.Skill Ripjaws V 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL16
- **Storage**: TEAMGROUP CX2 2 TB SSD & TEAMGROUP NV5000 2 TB M.2
- **Video Card**: Gigabyte AERO OC GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER 16 GB
- **Case**: Corsair 3000D AIRFLOW ATX Mid Tower
- **Power Supply**: MSI MAG A850GL 850W 80+ Gold Fully Modular
- **Operating System**: Microsoft Windows 11 Pro
- **Current Monitor**: Asus TUF Gaming VG27AQ 27" 2560 x 1440 165Hz and the new Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 27" 3840 x 2160 240Hz.

From what you're already rocking, I’d suggest focusing on upgrading the GPU to a higher-end card like the upcoming RTX 5080, if your budget allows. Also, consider upgrading your RAM to 32 GB of DDR5; that's going to help with performance at those high resolutions. The CPU is decent for now, especially for gaming, but if you find it lacking later on, you might want to upgrade that too! Good luck!

Not the CPU? That's interesting, thanks for the tip!
