What Should I Upgrade on My Gaming PC?

Hey everyone! I have an older computer setup with a Ryzen 5 5500, a Gigabyte A520M Motherboard, 16 GB of DDR4 RAM, and a GTX 1050 TI. I'm looking to upgrade within a budget of $500. My primary activities are gaming and streaming, although I'm currently playing some less demanding games and can manage streaming on this setup. I'm considering upgrading my GPU, but I'm not sure which one would be best for my needs and budget. Any recommendations? By the way, I'm based in the Philippines!

Definitely upgrade your GPU! Since your CPU supports PCI-e 3.0, you should steer clear of high-end options like the 4060 series because they'd be bottlenecked. A 2070, 2080, or even the RX 6700 would be solid choices for your setup. And for power, any GPU under 250w should work fine with your current PSU!

Got it! I’ll look into those GPUs that are compatible. Thanks for the tips!

A new GPU is the way to go. I'd suggest looking at options like the RTX 3060 or even the RX 6700 if they fit your budget. You won’t hit max performance due to your CPU, but they’ll still make a noticeable difference. Just ensure your PSU can handle the new card’s power requirements!

I didn't realize my CPU would hold me back a bit. I’ll keep that in mind while shopping. Thanks!

If you're looking for a GPU, the RX 9060 XT is a great choice within your budget. While your current CPU might bottleneck it slightly, it should still perform well for gaming and streaming. Just keep in mind it may depend on the specific games you play. Your power supply will handle it too, so that's all good!

Thanks for confirming that! I might just go with the RX 9060 XT since it fits my budget.
