I'm dealing with a frustrating problem: a headphone jack has broken off inside my new computer, and I don't know how to get it out. I've tried various methods I found online, such as the hot glue technique, using a pen, and just applying sheer force, but nothing has worked. Unfortunately, I can't afford to pay for repairs or buy a removal kit. I'm looking for any suggestions or tips that could help me resolve this issue.

One option is to look for aux port to USB dongles; they’re pretty affordable—around $10 on Amazon. It's a decent workaround if you can't get the jack out.

Honestly, you might just have to let it go. It sounds like the part needs replacing directly on the motherboard, which may be the safest route if nothing else works. Or if you're feeling brave, you could try needle-nose tweezers or even attempt soldering, but that comes with risks.

I wish! I've gone through so many solutions already, and most of them are just slight variations of each other.

You might be able to take off the computer's shell and push the jack out from the inside. Just be cautious, as it could still be glued in there. If all fails, a USB DAC could be a safe way to bypass the broken jack—those start around $9.99.

I thought about that too, but I'm worried it might be glued in at this point. Thanks for the tip about the USB DAC!

Have you tried using a paperclip with a bit of super glue? You just touch the glue to the broken jack, let it set, and then gently pull it out. I know it sounds a bit risky, but it might work!

Unfortunately, I've already tried that and it didn’t work for me.
