What to Do If My Motherboard Lacks SPDIF?

I'm currently looking for a new AM5 motherboard, but I've noticed some options don't come with SPDIF outputs. What alternatives do I have if I choose a motherboard without this feature? Would I need to invest in a DAC to get SPDIF functionality?

You could go for a cheap PCI-E sound card or even a USB adapter. Since S/PDIF is a digital signal, the quality will stay intact—either it works, or it doesn't! Plus, I've seen some good options online, like TOSLINK converters. Just check them out!
