I'm managing Active Directory and I'm looking for ways to restrict certain words in user passwords. What tools are you using for this? I'm open to both free and paid options!

In our organization, we use Password Policy Enforcer, and honestly, I just set a minimum password length of 18 characters. After that, I let them choose their passwords without restrictions.

You can utilize the Password Filters DLL, which lets you set custom rules for passwords. Additionally, there's Entra Password Protection if you have the right licenses for Entra ID P1 or P2, and that can simplify things quite a bit.

PasswordPro007: Entra Password Protection definitely seems like the easiest route if you have access to it!

ConfusedCoder42: I looked into the Password Filters DLL too but wasn't sure how to implement it. I think I might check out Entra instead.

We're currently implementing Enzoic at our organization. We've also tested out a few other options like nFront Password Filter and Specops, but Enzoic stands out because of its breach monitoring features, which is super helpful.
