What transcription tool can batch-process 50+ large MP3 files?

I need to convert more than 50 large MP3 files from speech to text, but most services make me upload each file individually. I'm looking for a tool that supports batch processing, preferably with a simple drag-and-drop workflow. Ideally, it would combine all the transcripts into one searchable text file so I can quickly find specific words and phrases.

If you already subscribe to Microsoft 365, Word includes a transcription feature. It may still require importing files individually, but it’s convenient for occasional use and could save you from installing another program.

Whisper.cpp is worth checking out if you want a local transcription option. It runs on your own computer, so you can process files without uploading them to a service. Batch processing can be scripted if the program doesn’t provide it directly.

Vibe is another offline option. You can drag and drop MP3 files into it, and your recordings stay on your computer. If it doesn’t support batches in the interface, a simple macro or script could automate adding the files.

Dadascribe may fit this use case. It supports audio and video files up to 10 GB each, batch transcription for up to 100 files, multiple speakers, noisy recordings, and many languages. It can also process files quickly and combine the results for easier searching.

Buzz is open source and available for macOS, Linux, and Windows. It uses Whisper for transcription and is generally straightforward for processing audio locally. You may need to export or merge the individual transcripts afterward.
