I've been using a 1080P 144Hz monitor since 2020, but now that I've upgraded my PC, I'm considering a new monitor. I'm looking for recommendations on what to get. Here are my specs: 32GB DDR4 RAM, a 5070 graphics card, and a Ryzen 7 5700X processor. Should I prioritize a higher refresh rate or higher resolution?

Check this out: [link to monitor on PCPartPicker]. It's a 2560x1440 monitor with 210Hz refresh rate, and it's reasonably priced if you shop around!

Before diving into options, what's your budget? You also mentioned you're in the UK, right?

Yeah, I'm looking to spend around £100-£150.

If you're looking for a balance, I'd recommend going for a 1440p monitor with a refresh rate between 144 to 180Hz. This will give you a great visual experience without compromising on performance.

I suggest looking into a 144Hz 1440p option. That way, you get a nice upgrade in both refresh rate and resolution!

When it comes to choosing between high refresh rates and resolution, it really depends on what you enjoy. Why not go for both if you can? But I get it, tight budgets can make that tough.
