What upgrades can I make to enhance an older PC for gaming?

I recently bought a used PC for my nephew, and I'm looking to see if I can upgrade it. The seller mentioned it's an older system that should still play less demanding games at 4K 60 fps, but I'm not sure about its components, especially since I'm not up to date on AMD parts. Since I'm still within my budget, are there any clear upgrade options that would noticeably boost performance? I'm particularly confused about the memory setup and would appreciate any insights on that as well!

Enabling Eco Mode on the 5800X is a great idea! It can help reduce electricity costs while maintaining performance. It’s safe to do so and won't cause any major issues, just make sure you monitor temperatures after enabling it to ensure everything stays within safe limits.

Thanks for clarifying! I might try that out.

Yeah, I’ve heard good things about Eco Mode too—definitely worth a shot!

You got a pretty solid deal! If you want to upgrade, consider selling the RX 6800 GPU for around $300 and using that money to grab a 5070 for about $500 or even a 5060 Ti 16GB for roughly $400. It could significantly enhance your gaming experience at 4K!

That makes sense! I’ll check out the 5060 Ti options. Thanks for the tip!

I totally agree with that! Upgrading the GPU will definitely make a difference.
