Hey everyone! I'm looking for some advice on upgrading my PC. Here's my current setup:
- Motherboard: MSI B450M GAMING PLUS
- GPU: RTX 2060 SUPER
- CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 (6C/12T)
I've been experiencing significant FPS drops while playing Battlefield 6, even on low graphics settings. I'm wondering what components I should focus on upgrading to improve my performance for the latest games and upcoming titles. If it's not a good idea to upgrade, should I consider building a new PC instead? Thanks for any help!

If you're aiming for better FPS in BF6 without breaking the bank, a quick fix could be swapping for a higher-end CPU like a 5700X3D. But honestly, newer CPUs are much faster and only a bit more expensive, so a new motherboard and CPU could be the best choice long-term. If you're serious about gaming, building a new system could save you from future headaches!
I'd start with the GPU since that's often the first bottleneck for gaming. The CPU might need upgrading too, especially for intensive games like BF6. If money isn't a huge concern, it could be worth just building a new rig for the best performance.
Consider upgrading to a Ryzen 7 5800X3D if you can find one. Your GPU should still be solid, but getting a more powerful CPU could give you better performance. Keep in mind, though, if you want the latest tech, a new build might be the way to go.
