I have a large folder of images on Windows and want to review them one at a time, quickly moving or copying each photo into one of several destination folders. Is there a photo viewer or file manager that lets me assign folders to single-key shortcuts, so I can sort everything without constantly switching between multiple windows?

Total Commander could also be useful if you prefer a file manager with strong keyboard controls. It may not be as photo-focused as a dedicated viewer, but it can make moving and copying files between folders much faster.
Another option is an AutoHotkey script. The script could detect the currently viewed image, assign several keys to different destination folders, and move or copy the file when you press one of those keys. That would give you the one-key workflow you’re looking for, though it takes some setup.
XnView may work well for this. It can display the images and offers a move command with a destination-folder list, reportedly available through Alt+M. It’s worth checking whether your commonly used folders can be configured for faster keyboard access.
That sounds promising as long as the destination folders can be selected without navigating through a file dialog every time.
