My GeForce RTX 3070 8GB recently died after about five or six years, and I don't know much about choosing graphics cards. I'm working with a tight budget of roughly $250 and don't need high-end visual quality—I mainly want something that can keep games like Palworld playable for a few months while I save for a better replacement. I found an AISURIX RX 590 listed for about $170, but I'm unsure whether it's worth buying or likely to last. Are there better inexpensive temporary options, and what are the safest places to buy used or refurbished parts?

Before settling for an RX 590, check the used market for an RTX 3070 or possibly a 3070 Ti near your budget. Since you’re replacing the same class of card, it would give you much better performance and avoid spending money on a major downgrade. Whether that’s realistic depends on local prices and the condition of the card.
An RX 590 can work as a short-term card for less demanding settings, but $170 is quite a lot for such an old model. It may also be a used mining card, and the AISURIX brand can be difficult to evaluate for reliability. I’d compare local listings and refurbished inventory before buying, and look for a tested card with a return window and seller warranty rather than choosing the first cheap listing.
