What’s a Fair Used Price for This Ryzen 9 3950X and RTX 3080 Ti PC?

A friend is selling a desktop PC, and we're trying to agree on a fair secondhand price. The system has a Ryzen 9 3950X, 64GB of DDR4 memory, a 500GB Samsung 980 Pro SSD, an RTX 3080 Ti 12GB graphics card, an MSI X570-A Pro motherboard, and Windows 11 Home. The power supply model and condition still need to be confirmed. An initial estimate suggested roughly €650–€900, but that range feels broad. What would be a realistic price for the complete system, assuming it is in good working condition?

Check current used prices for each component rather than relying on new retail listings. The CPU, motherboard, RAM, and SSD are older platforms now, while the graphics card still makes up a large part of the value. For a complete, clean, tested system with a reputable PSU, roughly €650–€850 seems defensible. If the PSU is unknown or generic, I’d reduce the offer until it can be identified.

A reasonable estimate is around $700–$900, depending heavily on the condition, the local used market, and especially the power supply. The RTX 3080 Ti is no longer produced, but that does not necessarily make it worth more today; newer cards and current performance matter more. I’d verify the PSU model, test the system under load, and negotiate toward the lower end if the storage or power supply is questionable.

Component-pricing tools can help, but older or discontinued parts often show as unavailable, so they aren’t always useful for this kind of build. Compare recent local listings for similar PCs and remember that a complete used computer usually sells for less than the total of its individual parts. A working system with proof of testing might justify the upper end; otherwise, aim closer to €700.
