I have a gifted PC with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X CPU, ROG CROSSHAIR VIII Hero motherboard, 32GB of RAM, and a combination of 1TB SSD and 10TB HDD for storage. Currently, there's no dedicated GPU. I'm looking to upgrade with a graphics card for around $1,000 or possibly a bit more or less. My interests include AAA gaming, emulation, game development, and some AI work. What GPU options would you recommend? Thanks!

Your PSU is crucial—consider its wattage. And the monitor resolution matters too (1080p, 1440p, or 4K). The 9070 XT is recommended for its price, especially good for 1440p gaming and capable of handling 4K as well.
Here's something to keep in mind - you might need more storage! Windows 11 and your software can quickly fill up that 1TB SSD. AAA games are large, often over 100GB, so consider upgrading your SSD soon. Do you plan to juggle only a few games at a time?
The AMD Radeon 9070 XT is one of the best picks right now for your budget. Just make sure you have a good PSU to support it!
Totally agree! Under $1,000, the 9070 XT is a solid choice. If you're willing to explore the used market, you might find a 5080 with some effort.
How about the 5070 Ti? If you need a PSU included in your budget, then the 9070 XT or even the 5070 are great options. Not sure how well AMD cards perform for game dev or AI tasks though.
I have almost the same setup, and I use a 9060 XT. It handles 1440p gaming smoothly. If your budget allows, definitely go for the 9070 XT for a performance boost!

Yeah, I plan to play more demanding games soon, but I'm okay with using the HDD for simpler games until I can upgrade my SSD. I'm also figuring out details about my PSU and fans since this PC was a gift. I'm pretty new to all of this!
