I'm new to building PCs and currently have a prebuilt system with a Ryzen 5 4600G, 16GB of DDR4-3200 RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. I'm in the Philippines and would like to add an affordable graphics card for better gaming performance. I'm not sure what my budget should be yet, and I also don't know whether the power supply that came with the prebuilt is suitable for a dedicated GPU. The PSU is an InPlay GP250L.

For a cheap used option, a GTX 1070 8GB can still offer decent performance and may be available for around the equivalent of $50, depending on the local market. However, it needs a suitable power supply with GPU power connectors, so don’t install one with the current 250W unit. Set a firm budget and compare local used prices before choosing.
Check the power supply before buying any graphics card. The InPlay GP250L is only a very low-wattage unit, so it may not have enough power or the proper PCIe connector for most GPUs. Replacing it with a reputable power supply should be the first upgrade.
I didn’t realize the PSU could limit my GPU choices. I’ll check whether it has a PCIe power connector and look into replacing it first.
A used GTX 1070 could be good value, but the cost of a reliable replacement PSU needs to be included in the total budget.
