I'm looking for a new office chair costing no more than €200. I'm about 1.68 m tall and want something comfortable rather than a chair with extremely rigid, brick-like lumbar support. I tried the ProtoArc EC200 and didn't like it. I'm not interested in buying a used high-end chair, and I'm fine with replacing the chair after three or four years. I'm located in Austria—what models are worth considering?

The IKEA Markus is worth checking out in this price range. It’s a common budget choice and may be a better fit than the ProtoArc, although you should try it in person if possible to see whether the lumbar support feels comfortable.
You could also look at chairs from Sense7. One user reported being happy with the Sense7 Noxo, which cost around €85, so their range may include a model that suits your preferred back support and budget.
