I built a gaming PC for my son at the start of 2022, and I'm considering upgrading the video card. The setup includes an MSI MPG B550 GAMING PLUS ATX AM4 motherboard paired with an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor. Currently, he's using an MSI Gaming GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB and plays games like Fortnite and Rainbow Six Siege. For an upgrade, I recommend looking into the RX 5800 XT or an RTX 5070 Ti. You can't go wrong with either option; just choose what fits your budget!
Nice build! I suggest going for the RX 9060 XT; it should serve him well for a few years. Just let me know your budget, as that will help narrow down options. Since he plays a couple of games now, consider how he might branch out to others soon too.
I've had my eye on the RX 9060 XT, aiming for 16GB memory, with prices ranging from $400 to $700. Does the brand matter? How do PowerColor and Sapphire compare? Do they usually go on sale? I'm hoping to stick around the $400 mark.
