I'm 17 and have mostly played on PlayStation, but I'd like to get my first gaming PC so I can play games that aren't available on console. I'm not chasing ultra graphics or the most powerful hardware—I mainly want smooth, reliable performance in less demanding games. What would be a realistic budget for the PC itself? I'm open to building one, buying a prebuilt, or considering used hardware.

Used systems can offer much better value. You may find a capable older gaming PC for roughly $550–$700, especially one with a Ryzen 5 or similar processor, 16 GB of RAM, an SSD, and a graphics card around the RTX 3060 Ti level or better. Check the exact parts, test the system if possible, and avoid listings where the seller won’t provide clear specifications.
I’m definitely willing to look at used systems. I might buy one with a decent base and upgrade a few parts later.
