Hey everyone! I'm gearing up for an interview for an SDE Intern position at Amazon's Dedicated Cloud team near DC, and I could use some insights. Has anyone here interned or worked at ADC? I'm curious about the overall culture—I've heard mixed things about Amazon in general, but is ADC different? Also, what's the typical starting salary for entry-level SDEs in this division?

From my experience, the culture in ADC is much better than at other parts of Amazon. I spent a decade in the ADC program, and while you're still held to the same performance standards, the environment feels more supportive overall.

Honestly, just go for it and don’t stress too much. People often say there are no dumb questions, but I get it—worrying can really shake your confidence. Just approach the interview with your best effort, and you'll do fine!

I’m not an SDE myself, but I’ve heard great things about the culture in ADC. Sounds like a solid place to be!

The culture varies quite a bit depending on the team and manager you have, since ADC is smaller than the commercial side. I found it to be a more tight-knit and friendly atmosphere overall, which is nice!

Starting salaries for L4 SDEs are about what you see on levels.fyi, but don’t forget that ADC offers some nice bonuses based on your clearance level, which you won’t find in commercial roles.
