I've recently noticed a buzzing sound coming from my GPU when playing certain games. It seems to happen only with specific titles, and sometimes it's just a quick buzz when the game launches. I'm wondering if this could be coil whine. I accidentally bumped my PC tower while it was on recently, and that's when I first noticed the noise. I've already checked all the connections and reseated the RAM and GPU to be sure everything is secure.

It definitely sounds like it could be coil whine. If the noise changes depending on the FPS or GPU load, that’s usually a good indicator. Just keep an ear out; sometimes it might also be a fan issue if it's hitting something.

I've noticed the noise while playing WoW, and the GPU doesn't seem to get hot enough to kick the fans into gear. I haven’t noticed any change in pitch or volume, though.
