I'm looking to upgrade my bulky PC with a 4TB SSD since I need more space for all my games. Any recommendations?

In general, go for a Gen 4 drive. Gen 5 SSDs can get really hot and might underperform due to cache limitations. A good Gen 4 not only saves you money but also gives you better stability.
If you're considering SSDs, the Western Digital SN7100 is a solid choice. However, you might also look at the SN850X; it really depends on which one is cheaper at the moment. Just so you know, Gen 5 drives tend to be overkill for gaming, so a good Gen 4 drive would do just fine without breaking the bank.
If you want the best bang for your buck, just get the cheapest NVMe SSD that fits your needs. Most of them will perform similarly for gaming. You might want to check out a flowchart that suggests models based on what you want to spend and their performance.
What’s your budget for the SSD? It helps narrow down the options!
I'm looking at a maximum of £300.

Totally agree! There's really no need to pay extra for Gen 5 unless you're doing something super demanding.
